JSON Viewer & Formatter

This tool helps you view, format, and validate JSON quickly. You can paste JSON or upload a file, then format it for readability, minify it for size, copy it to clipboard, or download the cleaned output. A Tree View is also available for browsing nested data structures.

What this tool can do

  • Format: Pretty‑print JSON with indentation for easy reading.
  • Minify: Remove whitespace to make JSON smaller.
  • Validate: Catch invalid JSON before use in apps or APIs.
  • Tree View: Expand and collapse nested objects quickly.
  • Copy / Download: Export the final JSON in one click.

How it works

When you click Format or Minify, the tool parses your JSON in the browser. If the JSON is valid, it is reformatted and displayed in the output panel. If the JSON is invalid, you’ll see an error message so you can fix the issue.

Tip: Use Tree View for large JSON files. It makes it easier to explore nested keys.

Why JSON formatting matters

Clean JSON improves readability and reduces mistakes in debugging. Proper formatting also helps developers spot missing commas or unmatched brackets before shipping changes.

Privacy & local processing

Your JSON is processed locally in your browser. No data is uploaded or stored, which makes this tool safe for sensitive configuration files and API responses.
